A number of my good friends and family have been surprised about my decision to support Donald Trump for president.  They have been surprised because my political giving history has been mostly to Democrats, my voting registration has typically been Democrat (in NY, you must be registered to the party in order to vote in the primary, and usually the Republican candidate has no chance to win), and many of our philanthropic initiatives have supported issues that are consistent with Democratic priorities.

All of the above said, I have always considered myself to be a centrist and/or moderate, and I have voted for the candidate and supported the issues and policies that I believe are in the best interest of the country. Some have accused me of supporting Trump because doing so will somehow benefit me financially.  Fortunately, I do not need any financial benefits as I and my family have well more than we need. I have also committed to give away the substantial majority of my resources at or by the time I am no longer, so I don't consider personal financial benefits in the determination of whom I support for office.

Someone took a video from the audience of the best candidate the Oligarchs could appoint Democrats could nominate. Yes, Kamala requires the assistance of a teleprompter even to speak off the cuff with Oprah Winfrey.

The Oprah was brought in to humanize Kamala Harris.

Someone other than Joe Biden secured the release of hostages from Russia's Putin regime. And all but one of the hostages were snatched under Biden's administration. Quite the victory lap.

Strangely, no one told us what was exchanged for these hostages. Maybe it was more of America's Uranium Reserves (see: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton). That said, whoever got the hostages released wasn't named Biden. Watch a few seconds of this:

Who is actually running things?

The Democrats have - for lack of a better term - broken the Constitution. Who is running the Executive Branch? Beyond the Democrats' relentless and reprehensible attacks against the Supreme Court... beyond their insane support of Islamic terrrorists... beyond their "progressive" (i.e., Soviet) ideology... beyond all of that... we have an Executive Branch without a Commander-In-Chief.

The Democrats have snapped the spine of the Constitution.

The entire Democrat Party is a disgrace. Every member needs to be flushed from office. If they want to run again, they need to pass a test on the U.S. Constitution.

A recent epidemic of airline near misses deserves both attention and reflection.

In mid-December, a San Francisco-bound United Airlines Boeing 777-200 airliner, just a little over a minute after taking off from Maui, Hawaii, suddenly dived. It lost more than half its altitude and came within 800 feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean before pulling up.

About a month later, an American Airlines jet crossed the runway at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport just as a Delta Air Lines plane was accelerating for takeoff. The two aircraft nearly collided.

Then in February, a FedEx cargo jet at the Austin, Texas airport just missed crashing into a Southwest Airlines airliner by a mere 100 feet.

Yes, my friends, it was another hilariously disastrous confirmation hearing! China Joe Biden’s Interior Secretary nominee Rep. Deb Haaland dodged, ducked, dipped, dived and dodged again on questions any Interior nominee would normally be able to answer:

• 
  Haaland admitted that shutting down pipelines costs jobs
• She refused to rule out blocking existing pipelines
• When asked if transporting oil by pipeline is safe for the environment than shipping by truck or rail (a basic IQ test, mind you), she responded, "I wish I could answer"
• Haaland claimed ignorance on whether shutting down drilling on federal lands will increase foreign oil dependency
• She said she was “not briefed” on whether the environmental standards in countries like Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Venezuela are worse than in the U.S.
• Many schools' budgets rely on drilling on federal lands and would face massive budget deficits without it. Asked about it, she struggled to answer (perhaps thinking that sacrificing generations of children for a United Nations climate scam was a good trade)
• And she stood by her suggestion that marijuana might be the solution for the millions of jobs lost and the funding woes caused by Biden’s policies

 

We all “wish” Biden's radical nominee or "Haaland", if that is her real name, offered straight answers to these questions. But alas, after years of advocating for a Green New Deal-style agenda, she now has no answers for the impacts of her radical policies.  That’s not good news for tens of millions of workers whose livelihoods would be crushed under her regime.

GREAT NEWS: Democrat VP Choice Kamela Harris Raising Money for Arsonists, Terrorists and/or Looters

It's only a matter of time until this tweet gets deleted.

The polling must have been brutal for Democrats.

They've gone from supporting the rioters, terrorists and anarchists to softly speaking out against them, all while blaming any left-wing violence on the Tangerine Man.

To believe this you must fall into one of two camps: (a) the hate-filled anti-Trump Democrats and Never-Trumpers; or (b) those who work at CNN.

Graham Dockery provides some context.

The mob’s latest target was Kentucky Senator Rand Paul. Paul and his wife were accosted by a screaming crowd of rioters outside the Republican National Convention in Washington, DC on Thursday night. Explaining the event to Fox News on Friday, Paul said that “had they gotten at us they would have gotten us to the ground, we might not have been killed, might just have been injured by being kicked in the head, or kicked in the stomach until we were senseless.”

...If any Democrat can claim credit for inspiring violent street harassment, it’s California Congresswoman Maxine Waters. Back in 2018, Waters told her supporters that if they come across an ally of President Donald Trump in public, “you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

Her supporters followed her words to the letter, harassing and threatening Republican officials on the streets and in restaurants throughout that summer. However, the violence has since escalated, just as the rhetoric has.

Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley – a member of the so-called ‘Squad’ and media darling – called last week for mobilized “unrest on the streets” against the Trump administration. Way back in June, as Minneapolis and Portland burned, Kamala Harris, now Joe Biden’s running mate, warned the public that the riots are “a movement” that’s “not gonna stop.”

Protip: It ain't gonna work, Exhibit A:

p.s., No word if Kamela will help bail out the alleged murderer of the innocent Trump supporter in Portland.

Senator Kamala Harris is a rising star in the Democratic Party, frequently mentioned on the short-list of contenders for the next presidential race. In a recent commencement speech at Howard University Harris issued a call to arms, urging her audience to rally behind the Democrats’ resistance to the Trump administration: “Graduates, indeed we have a fight ahead. Ignore for a moment the impropriety of addressing a class of students as though they were Democratic Party operatives. Focus instead on the statement itself. The call “to define what kind of country we are” is an ominous agenda for America. Compared to other nations, America is absolutely unique in one regard: it is a country defined in its creation. Normally, nations have been formed on the basis of common origins, ethnicities, and languages – a modern form of tribalism. In contrast, America was created by peoples of diverse origins and ethnicities and on principles that were universal. The American union was forged in a set of founding documents that insisted on the equality of citizens – regardless of origins. The idea that creates the identity “American” is summarized in America’s official motto: e pluribus unum – out of many, one.

It took a Civil War and two hundred years of sacrifice and struggle to achieve a polity that approached this ideal.

California is a state that miscalculated costs for the state run Medicaid program by $1.9 billion. The state is reckoned to have a $1.6 billion deficit, and Governor Jerry Brown wants to reduce the state budget by $3 billion because of these problems. The inflow of tax money is down. Jobs are leaving. Costs for businesses are up. Costs for citizens are up. The state is the 4th highest in the nation for cost of living. Covered California, the name for the Obamacare plan for the state, has the same problems as everywhere else: ever increasing premiums and deductibles, people can’t afford to use the insurance, doctors aren’t taking it, there are long waits for those doctors that do, and the state is constantly having to give the program more and more money.
