Photos of a bizarre, but quite pleasant, Independence Day

So we were checking in for a short stay at one of beachfront hotels near Charleston, SC and were surprised to hear the following sentence at the reception desk...

"It looks like you've been upgraded to The President's Suite."

They weren't kidding. See that top unit in the middle? Friends and family stopped in to discover that we weren't kidding either.

The balcony is roughly the size of a small landing strip.  And Papa B stopped in with his traditional crate o' wine.

The second level features a master with four-poster.

And doesn't every walk-in closet need a sitting area?

Suffice it to say that the views are stunning.

And the suite's second level features a lovely antique desk, situated in a perfect spot to house Blog-station Zero.  Yes, I said it...

Blog-station zero!

The view from the balcony looks straight over the boardwalk.

As darkness began to fall, folks started heading to the beach for fireworks.

Okay, yes, I photoshopped a few different kerplosions into a single photo.  So sue me.

In all seriousness, I hope that you and your family had a wonderful and relaxing Fourth.

Did the Presidential Suite feel like an Executive Privilege?
