"Diversity" as a general term means almost nothing. In the formulation "diversity is good" it is nothing but BS.
Rationally, it can only be held as "diversity of XYZ is good for ABC".
"Diversity of poison and nutrition is good for health" is idiotic on its face.
In America's current dumbed-down, decadent political dialogue it means "Diversity of skin color and sex, among people, is good for anything you do; it's more important than any other consideration".
