The 2008 Ol’ Liberty Charity Classic Golf Tournament benefits The Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
The Special Operations Warrior Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, which provides college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling, to the children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Special Operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident. The Foundation is a "Four-Star Charity" according to CharityNavigator.The venue? The spectacular Lake Presidential Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Maryland (east of the DC area).
