There are many uses for this kind of data. Consider Google News. When I visit that (ostensibly) crowdsourced news portal, I see very few stories from the column on the lefthand side.
I wonder why that could be?

Don Surber is about 80,000 didn't make the cutoff.
Instapundit is included in PJMedia.
Fox and National Review should be in the blue column.
This is hard to believe.
So CNN, the home of Fake News, is far more popular than every media outlet except the BBC? Breitbart ahead of Buzzfeed?
Gateway Pundit is far more popular than PJ Media, Redstate and the Washington Times?
A lot of these numbers just don't seem possible to me. Much as I'd like for conservative media to be on top of the left-wing media, it just isn't so in my experience.
@Esky, agreed, but the numbers are Alexa's current estimates. You can duplicate the findings if you'd like by visiting their site ranking area, e.g.:
