Were was the Shore Patrol at NAS Pensacola? When I worked there '69 to '72, they were all over the place with 45s on their hips and M16s in their trucks.
This time they had to call in the Escambia County Sheriff's deputies? That must have taken an hour!
And let's not jump on training of foreign military personnel there. That long-standing program builds a lot of goodwill for America within foreign military elites.
This specific case might reflect the internal tensions of modernization inside Saudi Arabia at worst or it could just be another frustrated INCEL who isn't getting any attention from the local ladies. Let's wait and see what the investigation comes out with.

@whitehall, that's a damn good question regarding shore patrol. don't know about PENS but other facilities (with or without FORN) had security or MPs or something roaming around.
