Daft b!tch in #2 is totally ignorant of history. At the time of the founding, there were semi-automatic rifles (the ones I am familiar with had a 13 round magazine and all 13 rounds could be fired in under a minute - substantially faster than a musket), cannon, and the pukel gun (a primitive gun similar to a gatling gun with a very high rate of fire). And private citizens could own them all.

So freedom of the press only applies to the technology that existed in 1786? No telephone, radio, tv, computers, printing presses that can print millions of newspapers daily? Really Skippy? I suppose freedom of religion is to be denied to any that didn't exist in the US at the time of the Constitution, bye bye Muslims. By the way we also know the penalties for pederasts, calamites, sodomites and bum bandits at the time. So skippy must be right.
