This time, it's Obama who is exuding confidence as Boehner seems hemmed in by his hard-charging class of 87 freshmen, many of whom won office with backing from tea party purists.

Really? So you're a purist if you demand the government stays solvent for our children and grandchildren? That it pares back the trillions in debt rung up over the last three years, which every expert -- including Obama's own deficit commission -- calls 'unsustainable' and 'catastrophic'?
Folks, this is why the AP's "news reporting" is useful only as comic relief.

Democrats are boldly offering big fat lies to the American Public, whether it be Andrea Mitchell to Barack Obama.
The level of fraud, combined with the overwhelming problems created by the Democratic Partisan policies of spend-waste-steal, has never been higher.
Our Nation is faced with a disastrous economic fiasco, again because of the Democrats who already undermined the Mortgage Industry. These fools, who capitulated on all, including the Bush Tax cuts, are desperately holding on to their corrupt Machine funded by Taxpayers.
Cut spending? That means cutting the Democratic Partisan graft. They simply do not care about anyone else. They want their power and the gravy train provided by all the hard working tax payers.
Simply pathetic.
They are all clinging to raise taxes on the rich garbage. This is the moment to put the nail in the coffin of the Carter-Clinton-Pelosi-Obama-Reid-Schumer-Boxer swindle.
Today is a big moment in US History. Time to send the corrupt children away from making chaos for all others, and time to return to sanity.
Ryan and crew are admirably leading the way, just as Reagan won the Cold War, just as GW led after 9-11.
