Police baffled over motive of mall attacker yelling 'Allah', asking victims if they're Muslim

By Thomas Lifson

OK, I get it. Police don’t want to jump to conclusions in high profile cases. But can police authorities please stop insulting the public when a Muslim starts attacking random strangers while yelling about Allah? The latest example of studied ignorance comes from St. Cloud, Minnesota, the thriving metropolis of Central Minnesota. From the St. Cloud Times:

Eight people were injured and the suspect died at Crossroads Center on Saturday after an attack reported about 8:15 p.m.

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson said the victims were stabbed by a man dressed in a private security uniform.

An off-duty police officer from another jurisdiction shot and killed the attacker, Anderson said. Anderson did not say where that officer serves during the news conference that started after midnight.

According to St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, the shooting happened inside Macy's.

Just before 11 p.m., St. Cloud Hospital Communications Specialist Chris Nelson told the Times that eight patients were taken to the hospital. Seven had injuries that were not life-threatening; one was admitted.

Anderson said the attacker, who was armed with a knife, reportedly made references to Allah during the attack and asked at least one person whether they were Muslim. But Anderson pointedly declined to call the attacks an act of terrorism, saying the motive isn't yet known. [emphasis added]

Stop treating us like idiots!

Can’t police acknowledge that there is an identifiable pattern of jihad terrorism, which the current incident mirrors? It’s fine to say that police are still collecting evidence and no conclusions have been reached. But don’t deny the obvious pattern, the obvious hypothesis!

Eight Minnesotans suffered stab wounds, some of them serious. The State of Minnesota has been subjected to the resettlement of tens of thousands of Somali Muslims, at tremendous costs in welfare, crime, and yes, Islamic terrorism.

Stop pretending that this isn’t an issue! Don’t jump to conclusions. But don’t deny the obvious, either.

The headline says everything. Why he did it and why we won't be able to stop it. It's a continuing of the centuries long attack on the world by radical Islam and the world's attempt to read into it some deeper meaning.
