EXPOSED: The Real Tea Party Platform

Yes, the fabric of our society has unraveled to the point where the following principles are reviled as "extreme" and "right wing" by antique media and the punditry class:

Thousands of years of civilization have taught us the paramount importance and wisdom of individual sovereignty, private property, self-reliance and limited government. These are the precious gifts our country's founders bequeathed to us.

Now, in Washington, we have corrupt and craven politicians who stress the sovereignty of government, collectivism, reliance on handouts and the need for an unconstrained government.

But we Constitutional Conservatives are the extreme ones, right?

Hat tip: MOTUS.

Actually, the "pyramid" should be the other way around. Family is the BASE, big and solid, on which all else rests; government is up at the top -- ideally, far removed from families, and SMALL. A pyramid sitting on a strong, wide base is an inherently stable structure. A society resting on a strong marriage and family culture is a stable, healthy society.

If, however, families are eroded and weakened, the base shrinks. Government then grows to make up for the weakening of the family sector. Perversely, as government gets stronger, it weakens the family still further -- so the base on which all else depends gets even smaller. As the vicious cycle continues, you eventually end up with an inverted pyramid -- a huge, cumbersome, top-heavy thing balanced tremulously on a point, and ready to topple with the right provocation, crashing into smithereens.

Thanks to Kathy from Kansas. I agree with you entirely. If a graphic artist could turn this pyramid upside down, then it would be perfect.

True, FAITH and Biblical Principles, the Law and Commandments of GOD give us proper, stable families, priorities and values. This is the true foundation upon which our legal system and government was founded.

By contrast, Islam and Liberalism are founded on drastically different values - especially in regard to the value of human life.

I agree that the elements should be reversed. Thanks for the awesome ground work!
