Ted Cruz is the man! I like Ben Carson but does anyone know who he is?? Allen West rocks but how can someone who lost his Cong.seat be a serious nominee?

Ted Cruz has taken a stand against the unconstitutional indefinite detention of American Citizens provision of the 2014 NDAA.

Ted Cruz, he's the real deal.

Ted Cruz. If the Karl Rove Republican leadership push Christie or Bush on us, we will lose and have Killary as our next president.

TED CRUZ FOR PRESIDENT 2016

Sarah Palin.

She is smart, fearless, and fights for what is right.

But sure, I'd take Cruz.

Ted Cruz showed uncommon wisdom and fortitude standing against the commie Obama regime and the progressive and useless republic establishment.

Odd that neither of my two favorites - Sarah Palin and Herman Cain - is on the list, while Ted Cruz, who is clearly ineligible, made the list. I love Ted Cruz, too, but let's be real. Either conservatives support the rule of law or they don't. And as for Palin and Cain, let's not forget the huge crowds the former draws or the fact that the latter once led the Republican field until the establishment pols did their hatchet job.

J.P. - if Obama was eligible, it is certain Cruz is.

Any true American should be prepared to vote for a stale fart if that's the only thing that can beat Hillary. I hope people aren't idiots and realize that individual views on insignificant issues need to be put aside to save our nation from ENEMIES. Once that's done we can argue over American things. But first we need to become American again.

I'd prefer a President who served in the military, which is why I'd give the nod to West over Cruz. But I'd happily, enthusiastically support Cruz.

Scott Walker would be the GHWBush to Cruz's Reagan. Bad idea.

Rubio has a better chance of defeating Charlie Crist in his upcoming primary than he has of getting anywhere near the Presidential nomination.

Allen West.....he knows who our enemies are within and outside the country. He has the cool to not be a vindictive twit. The military needs the morale boost after the crap they have been put through. Cruz as attorney general....get rid of the commies and enemies within our government.Would love to see ben carson head HHS Louie gohmert majority leader of the senate.....bring in Demint as speaker of the house. or ron paul......I love trey gowdy and wish he could be a supreme court justice....Herman Cain VP....there are several awesome men in this country who could restore real hope and real liberty. I listed many of them.....

That was a no-brainer.
Of course, Ted Cruz.

it's Cruz for me. no need for any debates.

Cruz of course-and as for the comment questioning whether I'm a "real" American because I'm be damned if I vote for Christie or Bush, kiss off.

Our enemies are not just on the left babe, our enemies are in our own party. No? Take a look at Mr Economic Policy Wonk, who just stabbed the country in the back with the latest load of garbage labeled a budget. He's a Republican.

These posers have got to go as much as the REgressives do and more of this, he's the only one electable BS, ain't flying in MMland.

Col West made some really questionable votes in Congress, I like him as Sec/Defense-I don't believe for a second Gov Walker is anything like GHW and a Cruz/Walker ticket would be awesome.

Put Sarah as Sec/Int and we're off and running to produce ungodly amounts of energy.

I was greatly dismayed when Ted Cruze went along with the ruse of honoring Mandella as a "man of peace". He was south Africa's obama. A commie plant who lied through his teeth to the people to obtain power, responsible for misery, suffering and the death of millions of his political and cultural opponents. For Cruze to to do so I can't imagine why, I just know he for whatever reason went along with a monumental lie created by the legacy media and the worlds tyrants.

How can you trust somebody as your president when they ignore the truth?

There is no voting our way out of the unmitigated disaster formerly known as the rule of law and a constitutional republic. To one degree or another too many Americans played a part in creating this pickle we find ourselves in. We are going to have to dig far deeper into ourselves to redress and recover what was lost than most of us imagine right now.

It is going to take a plurality with principles, the courage of conviction, and the cardinal virtues of Faith, Courage, and Hope, to do so, this is what I want my president to posses.

Those are the qualities of character and honesty I see in Sarah Palin. Not to diminish other fine candidates, indeed, yet it is going to take a person with the strengths those cardinal virtues imply to inspire and lead us as Americans united to restoration of principles of republican form of government.

It is going to take that plurality to change things. No one person or leader is capable, it is going to take all of us who care for Liberty.

Our the alternative will come down to 3 percent of the population and violent redress, armed revolution to throw off the shackles of tyranny. Something fraught with many terrible things for all.

I was a Ben Carson fan until I read this the other day: http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/12/ben_carson_in_his_own_words.html

I'll keep an open mind -- but I'm a little skeptical of him now, and I also, ideally, would like someone with executive experience.

Mt Top Patriot,

You are spot-on. Agree with everything you say.

And I agree with you that Sarah Palin has the finest character, and the most fearlessness, of the whole bunch. Unfortunately, I see 3 BIG factors working against her: 1) She's not always very articulate. 2) The MSM has made her absolutely radioactive. 3) Too many women are just plain jealous of her and thus, resent the hell out of her. And for both sexes, Palin hatred DWARFS George W. Bush hatred, which was bad enough, in its irrationality, intensity and fury. I'm afraid that Sarah, as much as we love her because we know how great she is, is off the table. Ted Cruz and Allen West are probably the closest thing to her, unless there's someone else out there that we just don't know about yet....

But, yeah, I agree with your main point that the problem goes much deeper than anything any one candidate will ever be able to do. The country is morally sick, and has a suicide wish, and until there is a spiritual/moral/cultural/psychological awakening, we're sunk no matter what.
