TRUMP: "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters"

By Sara Noble

There is nothing Trump can say or do to lose this momentum in the GOP primary. Anyone who attacks Trump gets pummeled.

Donald Trump said Saturday that he could shoot someone and wouldn’t lose voters.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters,” Trump said at a campaign rally.

Trump was talking about the loyalty of his followers. The media is going wild as if he was serious. They don’t know what to make of him. He’s the opposite of PC.

Watch:

Trump attacked various people Saturday – people who attacked him first. In referring to our leaders he said “stupid” is the only word to describe them.

About the media, he said, “These are among the most dishonest people in the world.”

About Glenn Beck, he said he is a “serious loser.” “He’s always crying…I cried when I was one year old, I was a baby…he’s a sad sack…he’s failing, he got fired from Fox.”

Several years ago he said he’d support Obama or Hillary over John McCain, Trump said.

Addressing Iowa voters, he said “You’ve picked a lot of losers; You gotta get back on the ball.” He also said Ted Cruz “could run as PM of Canada and I wouldn’t even complain.”

Rush Limbaugh said that seven years of liberal destruction and GOP inaction gave us Trump. Trump didn’t give us Obamacare, amnesty, an Iranian nuke, the Democrats and GOP did by failing to do anything about it.

Obamacare is about universal healthcare but Dana Bash is complaining about Trump once wanting universal healthcare, Rush said.

“So here’s Dana Bash on CNN last night, and she’s saying Trump was outspokenly pro-choice. He has been outspoken in his history in a book that he published, wanting single payer universal health care system, and much of the conservative base, they know it, they just don’t care. It’s not that they don’t know. They just don’t care. Trump was, as I understand it — this dates back to 2000, the year 2000, he’s toying around with the Reform Party ticket. There have been 16, 15 years go by. A lot more is known about it. Trump’s not talking about it now.

Where was the GOP?

But beyond that, the Republican Party nominated somebody that essentially gave us Obamacare. You know, you can sit there and say, “But Trump is for single payer!” Well, the Republican Party didn’t stop Obama from doing Obamacare. I mean, what are these people supposed to do? Yeah, in the first term they didn’t have the votes to stop Obama, but then they ran for office in 2010, they ran for office in 2014 promising us that they would use the power of the purse, they would defund it, they would try to repeal it, and every effort they made was phony.

Amnesty is the number one issue animating all of this.

These people are not stupid. Why continue to invest in a Republican Party which has openly said it’s not gonna stop Obama? You can talk about Trump all you want. It’s not Trump that’s sidling up with the Democrats on amnesty. And if you don’t think that’s the number one issue that’s animating all of this, then you’ve got something really big to learn. That issue pretty much encompasses everything else people are supporting in Trump. It defines the massive change, the rejection of the two party status quo on all of this.

So at this stage, you know, whether somebody’s conservative or not conservative enough, we’re so far beyond that right now. I’m talking about Trump’s supporters. I’ve got my analyst hat here on, folks. I could be wrong. But this is what fascinates me, trying to understand why people do what they do. My whole career has been devoted to understanding the left and telling you who they are and passing it on to you so you’ll recognize it, be able to stop it. I have said for I don’t know how long, I don’t know how many years I’ve been saying, the single best thing we could do is educate everybody to ideology so they can spot liberalism ’cause it’s openly destructive.

We just lived through seven years of liberal destruction.

We’re living seven years of the destruction of liberalism, undiluted, concentrated liberal destruction. We don’t have to speak theoretically. We don’t have to issue warnings. All we’ve got to do is explain to people why they can’t get a job, explain to people why open borders are happening, explain to people why the Iranians are getting a nuke, explain to people why 94 million Americans are not working and can’t find a job. There are demonstrative reasons, and you can trace every damn one of them to the Democrat Party and the American left, Barack Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, John Kerry, all of them. And we don’t get one syllable of that from the Republican Party.

So what are these people supposed to do? They understand immigration; it’s not hard. It’s called the law and people are breaking it, and the people breaking it are being rewarded and given things that the people who are not breaking the law are having to pay for. It’s not hard to understand this. “But Donald Trump, Donald Trump, he wants single payer.” Sorry, we’ve already got it, if you haven’t noticed. We’ve got Obamacare, and we’re heading down that road already. And who gave it to us? Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats, not Donald Trump. And who didn’t try to singularly stop it or repeal it when they told us they would? GOP. What are people supposed to do?

People supporting Trump have lost their livelihoods, careers have been destroyed and on top of that, they’re being blamed for everything.

“Well, Trump’s not a conservative. I don’t know.” They’re not even thinking about that. This is serious stuff to these people. In addition to their livelihood and their careers being destroyed, they’re being blamed for everything because they’re racist. They’re being told they’re bigots. They’re being told they’re sexists. They’re being told that they are the problem. They are being told by the Democrat Party and the American media that they have been the problem since the founding of this country, and they are openly told, “We’re taking it back from you. We’re taking it away from you.”

We are seeing the devastation of worldwide liberalism and along comes someone who wants to put the brakes on.

And so college educations are being perverted with this wacko studies and that wacko studies. This has been, for seven years, a sitting duck of an opponent waiting to be blown to smithereens for all time. American and worldwide liberalism. We’re living it. We don’t have to warn people. We don’t have to say: “if you’re not careful, we’re gonna end up,” ’cause it’s happening. So somebody comes along, gonna put the brakes on all of it or seems to, and massive change in direction. It’s not hard to understand this. But if your livelihood depends on — ah, never mind.”

Trump is a narcissist and a bully. He uses Alinsky tactics to attack and demean his rivals and detractors. He's a master manipulator. Most of his followers imitate his bullying tactics.

@Anonymous
Interesting observation. So you are saying that Trump is indeed a Democrat?

Anonymous said...

@Mike
He's neither Republican nor Democrat. He represents the Trump Party. It's 'win' at any cost. That makes him dangerous.

Vance said...

It's the ultimate 'Cult of Personality". I see so many seemingly sensible people on websites go full Neanderthal on anyone who dares to question his words or electability.

Frodus said...

After watching what the house and senate conservatives have been doing over the last few years with all the power they have been given.

And you come here and complain about Trump, Jeez.

@Mike and Vance
See Frodus' response.
I rest my case.

The 'FRODUS' response doesn't seem vicious, just implying you are wrong.Don't take it as bullying, just disagreement. You can't be that delicate that no one can disagree with your conclusions without being 'bullying'.As someone, anyone, should have said to obama many years ago,man up.

The 'I could shoot someone' statement of Trump is very much like the 'They'd eat dog food if I told them to' line from Andy Griffith in 'A Face In The Crowd'. Just as I've said before,I don't think he was serious in any way when this started, but it got away from him and he had to take it seriously or nobody would ever believe him again(he still wants to be a trustworthy negotiator in business). I've always thought his idea was to make Cruz look less outside the box of who might be a serious candidate. The recent attacks on Cruz by Trump could be inoculation against attacks the democrats might be saving for after the primaries or the convention(by then it would be 'old news',like the democrats say about their previous scandals). But for that to work,Trump has to exit the stage, preferably by losing to Cruz. he would have to alienate his followers,in the hope they would flock to Cruz. Trump can't just say,'vote for Cruz',that would seem staged(as this may be anyway),he has to lose to Cruz, and as graciously as he can manage, fade away. It sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory, and maybe it is. But watch the next 3 weeks.

A few years ago, didn't someone say, "I could shoot Vince Foster in Marcey Park and people would still vote for me".
Jeesh, history rhymes.

I remember back in the day when they said an actor could never be president, I remember the GOP,RNC, and very loud mouth pundit that could get their fat face on TV attached Reagan because he wasn't one of "them". I sure we will hear lots of grafts from Trump-his not a politician. Ever been to New York, did you Grow up in New York. His style and mouth is just a refection of is environment. Would Reagan ever say such a thing i think not.

I don't know if you have noticed lately but the republic has been burning for sometime now. Its pretty clear trump is pissed off and disgusted with the system, just like the rest of us that's given power to the Republican to keep Obama in check. Its so in your face now that they don't give a rats as* what going on in the heart land. Its just down right disgusting, Don't get me wrong i love Cruz. But he is UN-electable, we are living in a time when style means more than substance. Obama makes the case for that, but Trump is in your face and says what he thinks with no after thought or Political correctness and his isn't hiding from his past. Its there for the those that want to find it.

And yes millard fillmore and Notpartofit are correct.

Political history teaches us that presidents cant get a elected without the swing vote-this is why Cruz will fail in Iowa. His appeal is to the hard core right, even though he is hated inside the beltway he is still considered a insider,FACT. Business don't run like Government if your not pissing someone off your not going to get things done.

Would you like to go threw the list of those that despise Trump? At this point its a given that the Dims are going to lose this election, when was the last time the Dims won the White house 3 times in a row? its pretty self evident Hillary is going down at this point. Their in panic mode clearly. This sad devotion to RNC/GOP is pathetic, they deserve everything their going to get here real soon.

I am enjoying Trump. The GOPe deserves him, Dems deserve him. Not sure, even now, if he is legitimate. I'm in no hurry, one way or the other. However, I laugh every time I hear someone say he can't, or shouldn't win, or even run. I don't trust him, but the closest thing in the GOP, otherwise, that might get trust is probably a foreigner as the framers set things. A Cuban, so enemy, foreigner at that. Canada, Smanada. They invite enemies of the West easily, regularly, and plainly. Just because a Cuban, NorK, or Chinese move to the West, it doesn't make them Western, civil, or a citizen.

Not sure about politics at all, at this point, though. I'm thinking about it. Just not sure.

Most of our presidents have been farmers, lawyers, teachers or soldiers. Washington and Jefferson were surveyors, among other things. What we call 'qualified' these days is bizarre indeed. 'Well, we were more agrarian then.' Okay, so there are more businessmen, now. What's your point?

Charisma = power + empathy. If you can't see empathy, look for safety in consistency. Those who say Trump is another Obama are seeing Obama's malevolence where there is no empathy. Trump loves this country, and these days, thats worth a bundle. All the others are telling us what they are, just as the pundits are telling us who isn't what. It's a moving target. Long walk, short pier. All of 'em.

I'll take the 'what you see is what you get' guy over another politician, thank you very much.

Along as he stays true to his promises of building the wall, deporting illegals, stopping the moslim invasion and returning "syrian refugees" he could in fact shoot someone on 5th Ave.

Sorry you don't understand that the REALITY of politics is very, VERY ugly.
Your other posts suggest you are a professional victim...whether Dem or GOPe is irrelevant.

TO Vance 9:17PM
Name ONE politician who is NOT in politics because of narcissism. ONE!
You're probably suggesting a matter of degree but don't say so.

TO Anonymous 6:44AM
EXACTLY. That line of attack is merely the professional political class defending themselves by suggesting only *they* are - cough cough - "qualified". BWAHAHA!

TO Matthew W 8:48AM
You may be "shocked! SHOCKED!" that politicians sometimes say things TO GET VOTES (and YES, just about EVERY politician does it to one degree to another...in EVERY election). A President Trump would only have to have a Dept of Energy Secretary suggest to some Congressmen that the subsidy is not good/affordable/whatever. Then the heat is off the President and is - Constitutionally rightly so - on the Congress' hands on the purse.

BLESS YOU Frodus; you spared me much time is speaking sanity and reason to these chumps.
