The votes are in. The anxious nominees' fingernails have been chewed down to the quick. And at least one blogger just excused himself to go to the bathroom (number two, apparently).
So we're more than pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Fabulous 50 Blog Awards, the most prestigious new media awards in the conservative blogosphere. Or, at the very least, in the 993 area code.
These awards recognize a variety of blogs and websites operating in the conservative hemisphere of the Internet, all of which have worked tirelessly to protect America from Statism -- some in very unique ways.
So, without further ado, may I have the envelopes, please?

Q: Okay, I won. Where do I get my damn award badges?
A: Right here. If you have questions about installing your badge, ask 'em in the comments.
Q: *Sob*. I didn't win. Can I use one of the badges anyhow?
A: Yes, we've included handy LOSER badges for you.
Q: You suck -- I didn't win.
A: That's not a question.
Q: Where are the previous Fabulous 50 Award Winners listed?
A: You can review The 2010 Fabulous 50 here and The 2009 Fabulous 50 here.
You forgot, "The Best Blog Award Presenter". That would be you!
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this, I'm honored.
Weazel Zippers for sure!
Many thanks, Doug! You should give yourself an award for the hardest working guy in the blogosphere. I'm honored to be in such company. Congratulations to all the winners!
I am indeed honored Doug. Thank you. And I agree with the above commenters, the one blog truly deserving of an award is yours.
Thank you so much for this recognition, Doug! I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me. I'm so delighted! :) :) :)
Allow me to add my congratulations to all of this year's winners...and to echo those in praise of Doug Ross @ Journal for another outstanding year of new media blogging.
I may be lower than whale poop around here, but I know great writing when I see it and Doug Ross is a great writer!
Graciously accepting my "losers" award and returning to the task of taking back my country.
Q: You suck? -- I didn't win?
GREAT LIST - ONLY WHY SO MANY NON-BLOGGERS?''AND ZIP AT WZ SUX.
NEVER HAD AN ORIGINAL POST OR SCOOP POST IN HIS LIFE.
AND OFTEN EMPLOYS WHAT ACE DESCRIBES AS WEASELY HAT-TIPS:
THAT'S WHEN YOU POST MOST OF THE STUFF FROM ANOTHER BLOGGERS AND GIVE THEM A WORTHLESS HATTIP AT THE END.
SORRY DOUG, I CALLEM LIKE I SEE EM.
CAIN SUCKS, POERRY SUCKS AND ZIP SUCKS.
HAPPY NEW YEAR DOUG!
Couldn't agree more! Congrats to all.
Plus, big ups to Doug for Most Creative Award Categories!
Maybe one day I'll be there. Kudos to the winners and the losers for it is really: "One Team, One Fight," against tyranny and corruption.
Keep setting the example folks, the rest of us are nipping at your heels!
What is the award for getting banned three times and your blog removed by Google? haha
A completely unanticipated honor! Many thanks.
Congrats Zip! My two absolute favorite sites are weaselzippers.us and Ms Lucianne Goldberg’s http://www.lucianne.com. I go to both countless times a day.
I find myself in the strange position of being a loser yet completely agreeing with your choices.
What the Hell Doug....? You were not on the list?
#51 Most Humorist but True Blog == Dougie Boy!!! Oh yeah...get em DirectorBlue!!! (aka Doug Ross!)
Thank you so much. The Watcher of Weasels Council humbly accepts the honor you bestow and will spread the word far and wide. The Best Blog Award Presenter indeed.
Nice list but I still have an active Butt-Hurt report against Weasel Zippers. I gave them $$ then they ban me. /wipes tears
Anyhoo, IOTW is my fav.
Why isn't Wretchard at Belmont Club even mentioned in the list of blogs on the right sideline?
Thanks to you for linking so many of my blog posts in 2011!
An honor to be in such esteemed company.
Happy New Year!
Great & useful list but what of political cartoonists? Day by Day got no mention nor did editorial cartoonist Michael Ramirez.
What Hugh wrote, except that Stacy and Smitty over at The Other McCain deserved something for their great reporting and commentary.
I want a recount, I want a recount, I demand! a recount!
Just because The First Street Journal is only two months old does not mean that we should not have won, won, won big time! We will expect far more consideration in 2012.
Of course, it doesn't help that our site hosting service is having problems this morning, and I can't access my own site. :(
Great choices! I am so pleased to see Sultan Knish for "best Israel blogger"!
Isn't who you didn't honor the shorter list?
Hey! I made the list this year! Thanks Doug!
Ditto what Nice Deb said about spending your time doing this, it's much appreciated.
So Robert Stacy McCain and his team (Smitty and Wombat) at The Other McCain get nothing? Damn you are a cruel one.
Oh well, maybe next year.
Sheesh! I won an award and no one told me! My dog ate my homework! I had the stomach flu! My alarm clock didn't go off!
(I hope one of the above excuses is sufficient.)
Thanks for noticing BS Footprint. I've been on a sabbatical, but I've started to spin up the snark generator for the 2012 election cycle, at least.
