QOTD: "Obama had pulled the Census Bureau under the purview of the White House as one of his first acts as president. The bureau’s longstanding independence from politics was endangered from the beginning of the Obama administration.

At the same time that unemployment numbers [by the Census Bureau] were being faked and the IRS was targeting Obama’s opponents to render them ineffective during the 2012 election, Obama claimed to have put al Qaeda on the run. That claim went up in literal smoke on the night of September 11, 2012, when terrorists struck the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya. Obama’s whereabouts and actions that night remain a mystery, but he and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and then U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice pushed a fabrication — that the attack was sparked by a protest against an obscure YouTube movie. That lie was designed to create just enough confusion to get past the election, and thanks to CNN’s Candy Crowley’s intervention during the presidential debates, it did.

Obamacare rolled out disastrously in October 2013. The website that the president was forcing Americans to use to purchase health insurance that was in many cases more expensie than what they had before, and covered less, using shrunken provider networks, did not work. President Obama claimed that he had no idea that would fail, that he knew nothing about the implementation of his signature policy. Now evidence has emerged that he met with HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius 18 times in the weeks leading up to’s rollout. It’s possible that he did not know about the impending disaster, but given his track record, the mostly likely explanation is that he did know and is lying about that now." --Bryan Preston
