In Photos: The Damning Email Chain Showing Harrah's Execs Colluding with Harry Reid's Campaign, Forcing Their Employees to Vote Democrat

So this is why Sharron Angle's InTrade election odds melted down faster than an ice cream cone in July: National Review got a hold of an email chain illustrating just how desperate Harry Reid was to win.

It would appear his "Get Out the Vote" effort was more akin to the old "Bus In the Vote" and "Have Employers Threaten Workers to Vote Democratic" programs so popular in Chicago. In doing so, it's likely a whole passel of state and federal election laws were broken.

Executives at the casino giant Harrah’s pushed company employees to vote early in an all-out effort to help the Harry Reid campaign, according to internal emails obtained by Battle ‘10.

The stepped-up effort began Wednesday when a Reid staffer sent an email pleading for help to Harrah’s top lobbyist, Jan Jones. Soon after, Marybel Batjer, Harrah’s vice president of public policy and communications, distributed that plea via email to executives throughout the company...

...In her email to management, Harrah’s Batjer requested of her colleagues to “PLEASE do whatever we need” to communicate to company supervisors that there is “NOTHING more important than to get employees out to vote.”

She even issued an express endorsement. “Waking up to the defeat of Harry Reid Nov. 3 will be devastating for our industry’s future,” Batjer wrote.

On Friday, Western Regional President Tom Jenkin sent out a follow-up email showing a total vote count for Harrah’s properties along with the percentages of employees who had voted at each property. Attached to the email was a spreadsheet showing employee names and at which property they worked. Supervisors were asked to fill in codes explaining why their employees had not yet voted...

... The Harrah’s employee who forwarded the emails asked not to be identified due to fear of reprisal. The employee said the pressure from upper management was “disturbi
“We were asked to talk to people individually to find out why they had not yet voted and to fill in these spreadsheets explaining why,” the employee said. “I did not feel comfortable doing that.”

“It put me in a very awkward position,” the employee added, saying the level of coordination between Harrah’s upper management, the culinary union, and the Reid campaign was “disgusting.”

Yes, this is the modern Democrat Party in action.

There are no depths that the Democrats won't stoop to in order to retain power. Hiring illegals to canvas for their candidates. Trying to pass amnesty in order to build up their voter base with illegal aliens. Using ACORN and the SEIU to stuff the ballot box with bogus votes.

This is why we must crush the Democrats at the ballot box and prosecute them just as diligently. The Soros-funded left must be smashed into pieces until it is no more a political force than the Whigs.

Below is an e-mail sent to Federal Employees at Ft. Jackson, SC. Was supposed to be only for Union members.
Please pass this on to others you know in the Fed work force. Thx.

FYI
Brothers and Sisters,

Election Day is next Tuesday, November 2nd. I hope that you realize how much is hanging in the balance for federal employees. If a number of candidates get elected that are hostile to the federal workforce (and a number of candidates who fit that description are running in this election), in all likelihood, we are going to see major cuts to federal pay and benefits in the next year.

Serious attempts have already been made by lawmakers this year to cut cost-of-living pay adjustments, freeze hiring at federal agencies, force unpaid temporary lay-offs (also called furloughs), and eliminate official time used by federal union officials to represent you. In this Congress, we have been able to beat back these attacks. However, in the next Congress, there are no guarantees.

In the next Congress, we are anticipating attempts to substantially cut federal workers pay, attempts to lay-off tens of thousands of civilian federal employees (if not more), and attempts to eliminate federal pensions altogether. This is the reality of the decision we are faced with in this election.

Please use your vote wisely. Vote for candidates that support the work you do for the American people.

We have made more progress in the last two years for federal employees than we have made in decades.

Sincerely,

Randy Erwin

Legislative Director

National Federation of Federal Employees

It may turn out that Harry Reid's completetly tarnished win will be a blessing in disguise. Every time Obama tries to bring up Tea Party extremism in the House bring out the political corpse of Harry Reid and chain it to Obama

When Harry Reid won I voted to never spend a dime in Nevada again: I have money, have no debt, no kids or grandkids and wads of disposable income.

Gambling is for suckers and I detest cheesy Las Vegas resort hotels owned by a bunch of sleezy White-Collar Mobsters whose showshit is aging queenies wishing they could turn back time.

Las Vegas-expect your 15% unemployment to reach 25% by March 2011.

Susan,

Were will we marry then? :p

Bah! Just teasin'. It was the wads of cash that caught my eye, well, and the seemingly single angle. And because I think I am funny sometimes and thought you were too... mostly.

Thanks for the list of participating casinos...I have to book my hotel for a tradeshow and now I can significantly narrow down my list of options.

Boycotting your entire industry group will be a pleasure.
