Gutierrez styles himself a modern-day "Martin Luther King" for Latinos and recently bragged that he is lobbying Barack Obama to violate immigration statutes and grant amnesty to 5 million illegals through "executive action".
Just days ago Gutierrez resorted to the most rabid and vicious forms of race-baiting imaginable, claiming that those Americans who want their laws enforced despise Hispanic children.
Lastly, not only do they treat the children that are in such need of protection, it is almost as though they despise and hate all of our children. Because even the children that came before them that have pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States all of their life in this country, and the president has afforded them an opportunity to become legal. They want them in an illegal situation, an undocumented situation... And let me just suggest to everybody that an election was held in November 2012, after the president made that decision, and the American people thought was a good decision.
Hey, schmuck: the Constitution wasn't up for election in 2012. The law is the law. You in Congress wrote the damn law. The president signed the damn law. It's not up to you, or a president, or any other radical, would-be despot to violate the law without consequences.
You want to change the law: well, go ahead, putz. In the mean time, you swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the land, so I'd advise you to start doing so.
And exactly what is this vicious race-baiter's real background? The invaluable Discover the Networks site gives us the full dossier.
In 1992 Gutierrez won a seat in the U.S. Congress, representing the newly formed Fourth District of Illinois. Gerrymandered from neighborhoods and suburbs west of downtown Chicago, this bizarrely shaped, 75-percent Latino district was designed by Democrats not only to guarantee that the area would have a Latino Representative in Congress, but also to concentrate so many Latinos into a single district that they would pose little threat of unseating any black Democrat in the vicinity. Since then, Gutierrez has been re-elected every two years to the House of Representatives, where he is a member of both the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and the Congressional Progressive Caucus. His political campaigns have drawn significant support from the Democratic Socialists of America.
In the mid-1990s, Gutierrez developed close ties to the pro-socialist New Party in Chicago. In 1995-96 he was a board of directors member of Illinois Public Action, the state's largest public-interest organization, along with such notables as Robert Creamer, Lane Evans, Alice Palmer, Jan Schakowsky, and Quentin Young. And in 1997 Gutierrez served on the board of Citizen Action of Illinois.
In 1999 Gutierrez collaborated with fellow Progressive Caucus members Jose Serrano and Nydia Velazquez to pressure President Bill Clinton (through Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder) to free 16 convicted terrorists belonging to the FALN, a Marxist-Leninist paramilitary organization. On August 1st, Gutierrez uttered more vile, divisive, racialist, and un-American rhetoric, stating the following:
Let me also say that look unfortunately, the way they [Republicans] speak about a community, it is almost as if the children, we are a vile, repugnant community to them, that they vilify and demonize in every one of their statements.
In short, Gutierrez is a radical Marxist kook who no more deserves a seat in Congress than Winnie the Pooh. He is a disgrace, a clown, a nut, a law-breaker, and an anarchist. In other words, the perfect Democrat for 2014.
